Snowy Roll Cake

This light and airy dessert evokes the first snowfall of December. It's a holiday classic, both elegant and easy to make, and always impresses at the table.

Ingredients :

  • 4 eggs

  • ½ cup (100 g) sugar

  • ¾ cup (100 g) sifted flour

  • 1 cup (250 ml) whipping cream

  • Icing sugar and grated coconut for finishing

Preparation :

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) .

  2. Whisk the eggs and sugar until the mixture doubles in volume.

  3. Gently stir in the flour.

  4. Spread the dough on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.

  5. Turn out onto a damp cloth, roll gently and let cool.

  6. Top with whipped cream, roll again, then sprinkle with icing sugar and coconut.

Floréal Touch:
Add a zest of orange or a few drops of orange blossom water to the cream for a delicate fragrance.
